Overview
Restaurant OS is a flagship multi-tenant SaaS platform developed under AppTRD, the software and digital solutions division of The Research Desk (TRD). Engineered to replace fragmented restaurant tools, spreadsheet tracking, and paper tickets, Restaurant OS provides food and beverage businesses with a single source of truth across dining rooms, kitchens, delivery fleets, and management.

- Recipe-Level Inventory: Automated ingredient depletion linked directly to POS sales, featuring predictive low-stock alerts and integrated purchase order creation.
- Customer Storefront & Loyalty: Fast, lightweight mobile-first branded ordering portals with zero app downloads required, live order tracking, and tiered reward points.
- Delivery & Dispatch Fleet App: Driver-focused mobile cards showing route details, live status progression, and cash-on-delivery (COD) reconciliation.
- Multi-Branch Analytics & POS: Real-time revenue insights, labor cost visibility, shift punctuality tracking, and margin analysis across multiple locations.
Technical & Architectural Decisions
Built as a modern high-concurrency web application utilizing Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS on the frontend with robust database pipelines for live state management, instant ticket bumping, and automated billing workflows supporting regional and international payment pathways.
